Some might say that I dedicate too many articles to Eva Golinger, the so-called ‘girlfriend of Venezuela.’ I must admit, it’s hard for me to hold back, as Eva is like a vein that cuts through the heart of chavista irrationality—an endless source of nonsense, foolishness, and statements that speak more to her disregard for her own reputation and credibility than anything else. The latest is an article (which is a must-read, published in one of the alternative media outlets funded by the regime) clarifying to the world that Hugo Chavez is not a dictator, nor is Venezuela a dictatorship. The Real Academia Española defines a dictatorship as: “A government that imposes its authority in a country by violating the previously existing laws.” Dictator, according to the same dictionary, means: “In modern times, a person who arrogates or receives all extraordinary political powers and exercises them without legal limitation” or “A person who abuses their authority or treats others harshly.” Chavez is none of that, right? Understand this well, dear readers and fellow Venezuelans. Venezuela is not a dictatorship, nor is Chavez a dictator, as Eva Golinger tells us—an employee of Chavez and a professional apologist serving the regime. There’s nothing more to discuss. No dictionaries to consult. Eva has told us all, for those who have eyes but cannot see, and ears but cannot hear, that it’s not a dictatorship. That’s it. Sleep peacefully and live in peace, as Eva has cleared up the doubts on the matter; she’s the expert.
