Congressman Carlos Ramos sent a letter to Isabelle Marand, VP of Corporate Communications at Gemalto, which was delivered to her office at 6 Rue de la Verreine, Meudon, France, on November 7, 2011, according to La Poste.
Congressman Carlos Ramos is now seeking the cooperation of Dutch and French lawmakers to compel Gemalto to respond, as the company has so far refused to even acknowledge the communications sent by Congressman Ramos or myself.
This blatant refusal to answer a series of simple questions by the individual responsible for Gemalto’s public relations and communications, presumably Ms. Marand, suggests that Gemalto may have something to hide. Given that the company is registered in France and the Netherlands, and is publicly traded, it will be interesting to see if their claimed operations and earnings in Venezuela, through a wholly-owned subsidiary in Mexico, are legitimate and have been properly reported.
