The letter from Congressman Carlos Ramos to Isabelle Marand, VP Corporate Communications at Gemalto, was delivered to her office at 6 Rue de la Verreine, Meudon, France, on November 7, 2011, as per La Poste:
Congressman Carlos Ramos is now looking to collaborate with Dutch and French congress representatives to compel Gemalto to provide a response, as they have yet to acknowledge any communications from Congressman Ramos or myself.
This evident failure or refusal to address a straightforward set of inquiries from whoever oversees PR and communications at Gemalto—most likely Ms. Marand—raises suspicions that the company may have something to conceal. Considering that Gemalto is registered in both France and Holland and is a publicly traded entity, it will be intriguing to determine if their reported operations and profits in Venezuela, via a wholly owned subsidiary in Mexico, are indeed legitimate and transparently reported.
