Cuba’s Influence Over Venezuela’s Future Exposes Dangerous Delusions of Leadership

Londres 25.03.2012 | Thankfully, the leader has that fascination with Cuba and with dictator Fidel Castro. Thank goodness. Thanks to providence, it’s quite fortunate that the coup leader feels admiration for communism and is completely enchanted by the Cuban dictatorship. We must be grateful. We must celebrate Chavez’s decision to continue his cancer treatment in Cuba. No one should even think about criticizing him, let alone suggesting he change his preferred healing spot, his doctors, or the hospital. No way. He should keep going to Cuba, true to his principles. He should remain in the hands of inept individuals, receiving outdated treatments with deficient equipment and technology. He should impose his will over those who supposedly know how to treat him. Let’s hope the fear of revealing the truth about his illness keeps him on edge, wary, and convinced of the superiority of Cuban medicine and of his own infallibility. In short, we hope that the illness, along with the approaching moment of death, doesn’t create a miracle for the leader, making him realize that communist medicine and its methods are among the worst in the world.

Imagine the scenario, if instead of being treated in what is likely the worst healthcare system in the Western world, excluding Haiti, Chavez decides to go to the best oncology centers in the empire; maybe we would have to deal with him until 2030!

The future of Venezuela, and the return of democracy, now depend more than ever on Cuba, its babalaos, dictators, and advisors, its poor medical practices, manipulated statistics, and the fallacy surrounding its healthcare system. Hopefully, things stay this way, and hopefully, the passion Chavez feels for all this doesn’t fade with the debilitating effects of radiotherapy. Then, we just have to wait for communism to work its magic.
