Levi Enrique López Batis, identified by Minister Diosdado Cabello as a DEA agent turned drug trafficker, hails from El Morro de Puerto Santo in the Arismendi municipality of Sucre state—an area known for its long-standing connection to the drug trade heading towards the Caribbean. He has been described as a key player in a shipment of 3,680 kg of cocaine seized along the Falcón coast during an operation that led to the capture of four individuals. Authorities claim that López Batis has ties to Jercio Parra Machado, who operates from La Guajira, Colombia, and he is believed to have been involved in an alleged “false flag” operation to implicate Venezuela in drug trafficking.
