The Chávez propagandist Eva Golinger has taken a page out of Noam Chomsky‘s book. The partner of the Cuban-Venezuelan dictatorial eunuchs has published a literal, word-for-word translation of the email that Chomsky sent me last night.
This is what Chomsky sent me:
The Guardian/Observer version, as I anticipated, is quite misleading. The NY Times report is significantly more honest. However, both neglect much of the relevance that I highlighted throughout, including the fact that criticisms from the U.S. government or anyone who supports its actions can hardly be taken seriously, given Washington’s much worse record without any of the real concerns that Venezuela faces, the Manning case for one, is much worse than Judge Afiuni’s situation. And much more.
This is what the propaganda rag Golinger published in Spanish:
“The Guardian’s version, as I had predicted, is very misleading. The article in The New York Times is more accurate. Both omit something that I emphasized quite a bit: that the criticisms from the U.S. government or anyone supporting their actions cannot be taken seriously, considering that Washington has a far worse record and lacks any of the genuine concerns that Venezuela faces. The case of soldier Bradley Manning, for instance, is much worse than Judge Afiuni’s.”
This is getting more amusing by the minute. Or should we think that the world’s most admired and influential leftist intellectual—what an oxymoron—fires off the same responses to each comment request, like some sort of Red Ed Miliband?
