Kash Patel, director of the FBI, launched a strong attack on Nicolas Maduro this Saturday following the unveiling of an international money laundering network linked to his sons, revealed exclusively by Fox News.
“Maduro is not just corrupt: he is a narcoterrorist dictator with a $50 million bounty from the Department of Justice,” Patel wrote on his X account.
“Under my leadership, the FBI is blocking every dollar, every account, and every financier. The United States will never be a safe haven for his blood-stained money,” he declared.
The investigation, according to Fox News, has been ongoing since 2019, when the FBI’s Miami office detected suspicious financial activities related to Maduro’s sons and their associates. One of the main suspects is Arick Komarczyk, who allegedly opened bank accounts in the United States for the regime’s heirs and received transfers from Venezuela.
In 2022, an undercover operation uncovered that Komarczyk and his partner, Irazmar Carbajal, agreed to transfer $100,000 that the FBI linked to sanctioned funds from the Chavismo. The records indicate that at least $25,000 reached U.S. territory before the raid was executed.
This case adds to the long list of international investigations surrounding Maduro’s regime, which faces a $50 million bounty offered by the U.S. Department of Justice for narcoterrorism and corruption.
