Just a couple of critical publications about the BS surrounding the exaggeration of global warming is all it takes to send hate levels soaring towards CO2. Keep in mind that it took me a lot to discredit and a Herculean effort aimed at exposing Hugo Chávez to gain the hatred of racist Europeans. However, when it comes to global warming, things get unpleasant pretty quickly. And since I’ve almost lost interest in what’s happening in Chávezlandia, I’ve been reading and researching a bit about the apocalyptic cataclysm that’s about to fall upon this earth.
The most important authority in the world on climate change, at least for some fanatics, seems to be the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or IPCC. This panel, composed of a rather interesting group of people, is responsible for interpreting scientific data so that, supposedly, lawmakers around the globe can make informed decisions on how to tackle climate change. I wonder if any earth scientists have bothered to inform this lot about the impossibility of stopping a natural process of global proportions like climate variation. Maybe in the not-too-distant future we’ll see another hysterical panel discovering that the Earth’s tectonic movement is causing earthquakes and needs to be stopped. In any case, the report released is an interesting read for laypeople, as it concludes that the climate is changing. What an extraordinary realization! As I’ve said elsewhere, what I find reprehensible about the new green cult is the dramatization and exploitation of scientific issues to promote political agendas. Among other things, the report contains the following gem:
Paleoclimate information supports the interpretation that the heat of the last half-century is unusual compared to at least the previous 1300 years. The last time polar regions were significantly warmer than current conditions for an extended period (about 125,000 years ago), reductions in polar ice volume led to a sea level rise of 4 to 6 meters.
Beyond such ‘interpretations’, it’s worth noting the admission that the Earth was significantly warmer in the past. In light of such evidence, how can definitive conclusions about human responsibility be drawn? I really don’t understand. The absolute contempt for scientific records and the sheer hatred towards dissenters that characterizes the global warming fraternity is astounding. This morning I received this email from an Australian land ‘protector’:
Are you kidding? Surely this is just for contradiction, right?

This chart is completely false! What a joke, right?!
If the Earth were 3 or 4 times hotter than in 2007, as your chart illustrates, then we wouldn’t have plants or animals on the planet!
Moreover, there are very good reasons to believe this was man-made. Numerous studies prove it.
Are you serious with this nonsense.
This action is criminal. We need to work together, and this action is a betrayal to the planet, and you definitely should be locked up in Guantanamo Bay.

Interestingly, none other than the president of the IPCC (industrial engineer Rajendra K. Pachauri) seems to share a similar disdain towards his critics, although considering his position is even more hysterical than the “eco-warrior” displayed above. However, not all is lost, as Guantanamo Bay is certainly more comfortable than Castro’s gulags.
