Hugo “El Pollo” Carvajal Barrios Faces Delayed Sentencing Amid Serious Narcoterrorism Charges

The sentencing of Hugo “El Pollo” Carvajal Barrios, initially set for October 29, 2025, has been rescheduled to November 19, 2025, at 10 a.m., according to information released by the clerk of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The order from Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein, issued on October 17, 2025, confirmed that the sentencing hearing for the accused Hugo Armando Carvajal Barrios has been postponed to November 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

As is known, Carvajal Barrios has admitted to all the charges of narco-terrorism against him.

The indictment states that Hugo “El Pollo” Carvajal Barrios, along with other individuals, “illegally, intentionally, and knowingly conspired, confederated, and agreed with each other to violate the narcotics laws of the United States.”

This conspiracy involved the attempt to “distribute a controlled substance, with the intent and knowledge that such substance would be illegally imported into the United States or in waters less than 12 miles off the coast of the United States.”

Additionally, it specifies that the controlled substance involved in the offense was “five kilograms or more of mixtures and substances containing a detectable amount of cocaine.”
