Neurosurgeon Kills Tenant During Controversial Eviction Process Shocking Use of Deadly Force in Property Dispute

Italo Di Pascuale Acosta shot Eduardo Súnico and his wife, Elvira González, who were on the street after being evicted from the property they had lived in for over two decades.

The eviction at Quinta Canaima, located in Colinas de Bello Monte (Baruta Municipality, Miranda), occurred after five tenants were prosecuted as invaders and illegal occupants by the 73rd prosecutor’s office.

1. The Violence:

On Sunday, November 23, during an eviction operation from a rented property (which is irregular due to it being a Sunday), neurosurgeon Italo Di Pascuale Acosta fired a gun at tenants Eduardo Súnico and his wife, Elvira Katiuska Viviani González.

Eduardo Súnico died on the spot, while his wife was seriously injured and is currently hospitalized. Witnesses recorded the moment the assailant drew his weapon and fired at least five shots.

2. The Perpetrator and His Paradox

The focus of the news lies in the identity of the alleged murderer: a health professional, specifically a neurosurgeon, whose calling should be to preserve life. This incident raises serious social alarm, highlighting that it was he who resorted to lethal violence to resolve a civil conflict.

3. A Property in Dispute:

The violence erupted over the supposed reclamation of ownership of “Quinta Canaima,” a home whose legal ownership is highly controversial:

· The property was awarded to Piedad Espinoza 30 years ago.
· After her divorce in 1994 and her death in 2014, her legal universal heir is her daughter, Sasha Sadovnik, who resides in Miami, USA.
· However, Piedad’s ex-husband, Aba Sadovnik, declared himself the heir in 2022 and sold the property to the neurosurgeon’s family in a transaction described as irregular.

4. Context and Condemnation:

The eviction was carried out with police presence and is set against a complaint for “invasion” filed in 2023 by the neurosurgeon’s mother, lawyer Altagracia Acosta, who benefited from senior citizen protection programs. Congressman Rigel Sergent and the Tenants’ Movement strongly condemned the crime, denouncing the “criminalization” of tenants and warning about the dangerous precedent of prioritizing private property over human life.

Conclusion

This case goes beyond a common homicide and exposes a serious problem: the use of lethal violence by a respected professional in the context of a civil dispute over a property whose purchase is based on questionable ownership arising from a divorce three decades ago. Justice and a thorough investigation are demanded to clarify the irregularities in the real estate transaction and the criminal responsibilities surrounding the incident.
