The former chavista minister Rafael Ramírez and his wife, Beatrice Sansó, were involved in a violent confrontation in the streets of London, England, after a bystander recorded them while shopping in the British capital.
The former oil czar of the regime lost control when he noticed that the citizen was documenting his European outing. In response to the former fugitive official’s evident annoyance, the videographer didn’t hesitate to remind him of his rights in public space. “I can do this, my friend. Why?” questioned the man as the tense exchange began.
During the dispute, Ramírez physically attacked the individual, shoving and striking him in an attempt to stop the recording that exposed his lifestyle. “What’s wrong with you?” shouted the former ally of chavismo as he tried to intimidate the cameraman, who stepped back in response to the initial assault.
For his part, the assaulted defended his position against the ex-minister’s hostile attitude. “This is a free country. I can film whatever I want,” asserted the man, highlighting the discomfort of former members of the red elite in the face of sudden international public scrutiny.
Ultimately, Sansó also attempted to confront the citizen to prevent the moment from being captured, but seconds later the couple decided to leave the area to evade the filming.
