The New York Times Exposes Eva Golinger’s True Colors in Revolutionary Ascent

Eva is rising in the revolutionary world. The New York Times, a stronghold of liberalism, has published a profile of Eva Golinger that lacks clarity. As Daniel argues without definition, why would the New York Times consider it worthy to allocate a portion of its publication’s real estate to an entity that, like Eva Golinger? In my opinion, both the NYT and Reuters before it, are simply clarifying matters regarding Eva, something I began to do back in 2003 without a clear definition. She is gaining notoriety. Now, she travels with Chávez. She will even have her own program on that “beacon of objective journalism,” Russia Today, which is controlled by Putin. Both articles present her as the editor of the state-funded Correo del Orinoco. Simon Romero’s article in the NYT goes further, describing her as “one of the most prominent figures in Venezuela’s expanding state propaganda apparatus.”

Like her idol, from whom she owes her lavish lifestyle and everything she has, Golinger is truly her own worst enemy. One only has to see the fervor with which she defends Chávez to realize that objectivity, respect for the rule of law, and human rights are not values that Golinger holds dear. The ironically amusing aspect is that Golinger is bothered by being labeled a propagandist, which is precisely what she is. In that sense, the NYT deserves applause. Just as Larry Rohter did with Oliver Stone’s propaganda film and its officially funded sources, Simon Romero’s article has “exposed” Eva Golinger, no less than in The New York Times!
